Rid the world of theocracy

I am asking anyone across the world who reads the following to copy it and to send it to your government officials (if possible) and to the United Nations Security Council.

Be it resolved that the mixing of Church and State has caused untold human suffering for centuries, we propose that the governments of the world rid themselves of any and all theocratic encumbrances.

1.  That no nation's constitution, articles of confederation or other document of national law and purpose be based upon any religious book or religious tradition.

2.  That no nation will allow a cleric to hold office within its government.

3.  That a nation's laws shall be based upon humanitarian principles which would ensure adequate food, housing, education and medical care for its citizens, instead of the dictates of a religious authority.

4.  That all religious organizations shall be fairly taxed as any business enterprise might be taxed, and that the same penalties for failure to pay said taxes be enforced with the same rigor as it is upon individuals and businesses who fail to pay their taxes.

5.  That all missionary enterprises be halted worldwide

hehe i definitly agree with number four, but by making all religions the same as business would it still make since to prevent clerics from holding office?(since they would be classified as businessmen).

Methinks that would be a legal problem but one with a solution that would pretty much define what kind of business religion is. Most "businesses" market a "product" which is subject to regulation, like, if you buy a car, in most cases in Western nations there are necessary guarentees about condition and performance, or like with food, that it's free from contaminants. In more nebulous areas if you buy stock, you're buying into a risk. But religion is even more nebulous a product than stock. With very few exceptions, the "product" pushed by religion has never been demonstrated in any practical, visible form. If you invest in stock and lose money, well, you knew you were gambling; but with religion, you have to die before you know whether the product delivers as advertised. Therefore, religion might be a business, but its closest analogue would be a pyramid scheme run by the mob. It would be kind of like the head of the Mafia running for president - how far could he go legally before the law caught up with him?
