| | I'm not really grumbling today, my only grumble is being greeted by the "new Xanga" window the rare times that I log in here. No, thank you. No. No for like the 6th time, NO! Leave me alone.
So it is deep summer here in New Jersey and I'm enjoying cooler weather for a change, usually August can really suck heat-wise. I did something out of the ordinary three days ago, I went for a hike with my daughter in the woods in Bloomingdale. She said it was about a mile, it was more like three, but I enjoyed the hell out of it. There were a lot of mushrooms growing, not any of the good ones, and we wound up at a small waterfall where I happily soaked my head. According to her it was but a trickle to what she had seen two days previous, when it was a roaring torrent. But I had to creep across a rock wall to get to the spray and once I got to it, bent over and let my head get good and wet and cold. The water tasted really good also, I had some trepidation about drinking it, but Seima said it was fine. I saw some paper wasps building a nest quite close to the water and sat down by it and made a little vid clip and promptly got stung on the eyebrow. Little bastard! All in all it was an enjoyable day.
